Project description

The project involved the study of the traffic within the central business districts (CBD), main collector and distributor roads, methods for meeting demands for parking spaces along main roads, recommending ways of avoiding traffic congestion, increase pedestrian safety and detailed analysis of the positioning of bus-ranks for the town.

ZMCK responsibilities

Services provided included collection of data such as accident records, existing road infrastructure and land use; on-site traffic and parking surveys; analysis of collected data; formulation of proposals for improvements; compilation of inception, draft and final reports.
